WHY IT MATTERS

You can't manage what you can't measure. Accurate weight tells you how much wormer or medication to give, how much hay and feed your horse actually needs, and whether a diet or fitness plan is truly working or just feels like it is. STAY LEGAL Avoid fines and penalty points by ensuring your horsebox or trailer stays within payload limits. MEDICATE WITH CONFIDENCE Administer wormers and vet-prescribed drugs with perfect dosing accuracy. OPTIMIZE FEEDING Calculate precise hay, haylage, and feed portions, reduce waste, save money. TRACK HEALTH & FITNESS –Monitor weight loss/gain, adjust management plans, and maintain peak performance. SPOT SEASONAL TRENDS Identify natural fluctuations and intervene early for year-round well-being.

WEIGHBRIDGE VS WEIGHT TAPE

A weight tape only measures the girth line, the circumference around the barrel. It can't see height, breed, body type, age, or the difference between muscle and fat. That is why tapes can be out by around 20 percent, sometimes 50 to 100kg or more, and they usually underestimate, especially on bigger horses. In one published study a 17.2hh mare read 138kg lighter on a tape than on the weighbridge. A weighbridge measures actual weight. That's the difference between guessing and managing.

HOW OFTEN SHOULDMY HORSE BE WEIGHED?

Spring, Summer, Autumn for maintenance Monthly for horses on weight-loss/gain programs. Winter weight checks are critical Prevent year-on-year gains and reset hormone balance for a healthier metabolism. No more "close enough"
